Got a free trip is gladden, moreover is the complete trip. I don’t know how to say beside a ton of thank you.
Finally, I made the trip to Bromo. Bromo trip was planned like 3 times and always failed. Who adventurer doesn’t know Bromo? Bromo is one of must destination for backpacker. Sunrise, Sea of Sand, Mountain, Savannah (Teletubbies Hill), and low temperature which rarely in Indonesia. Who doesn’t interest? Me, as a beginner backpacker had the chance go to Bromo with free. I don’t need to think anything except enjoy the trip. Thank you Syngenta who arranged leisure trip to Bromo for Syngenta Connection participants.
We arrived around at 9 am and then changed our cars
with jeeps. Our groups have 18 members and Syngenta has provided 4 jeeps. It’s
quite enough even more than enough for us, because the jeep usually used for 6-8
persons. Jeep was the most annoying thing when we were planning to Bromo. The bargain thing, maximum people, where to meet, that’s annoying. The journey began, we ready to climb to the top of
mountain. The distance between the parking area and crater about 2 km and 250
stairs. We could choose to ride a horse or take a walk, and we decided to take
a walk which get bonuses with dust and horse poop. *yiacks* When we reached the
top, we can saw crater of Bromo, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and feel the
wind. Bromo, you’re beautiful.

Time to went down, some people picked to ride a horse, and some stayed to walk, and some looking for new tracking. Adventurous team visited Luhur Poten Temple. (It made me miss Bali or Hindi culture, Molly and I used our scarf as shawl, our respect to enter Hindi Temple). We continued to Pananjakan I. We came not for to see the sunrise (its mid-day, the sun is right on the top), we came just to enjoy the scenery. Just 30 minutes in Pananjakan for take a lot of pictures and enjoy the picture of mountain ranges.

And we went to Savannah or Teletubbies Hills. We go through the desert with all the jeep maneuvers. So, we can only see the dust and dust. When we arrived in Savannah, I felt like be a Teletubbies. The great mountains are right in front of my eyes, not just in TV, and it is in Indonesia. Indonesia is beautiful. Adventurous team proposed to reach one of the top hills and named it as Satay Partay Hill, it was an itchies trip. The hills with the green grass are beautiful but it was a trap, it was not good to climbing. We reached the top with all various ways, and we back to parking area, and prepare go back to home to continue the other schedule.

Actually, the writer wore the wrong clothes, she wore flat shoes. IDIOT. Don’t forget to bring mask, hat, and glasses as your arming. Use a rubber shoe, it so much comfortable to walk and play in the dust. Bring mineral water, to keep you away from dehydrated. Wear sun-block, if you don’t want to get your skin burn.
have a team with good looking white guys, our trip somewhat longer than usual. The local peoples loved to take picture with them and they really so nice, never rejected and always give them bright smile. I would like to open the booth and take IDR 5.000 / pictures. *smile like diamond* Oh yeah, the duos Australian taught the cutest kids and our favorite aunty were sliding from the top hill to down. It’s quite crazy but looked so fun experience.
And for the last, I want to make confession. Actually, I think Batok Mountain was Bromo Mountain. Because, in every pictures of Bromo, the mountain that has come up is Batok not Bromo (the Sand Mountain)
